Located approximately 275 km away from Colombo, the Nilaveli Beach Hotel is found along the pristine beaches of the East Coast of Sri Lanka. Charter flights are available to Trincomalee from the Bandaranaike International Airport in Katunayake while public buses and trains also run from Colombo Fort. You can always hire private vehicles according to your convenience.


The Nilaveli Beach Hotel offers you 23 Standard Rooms with modern facilities including hot water, mini fridge, air conditioning and also a fan. There are a total number of 22 Studio Deluxe and Deluxe Rooms for guests to choose from as well and facilities include an addition of a cable television, DVD player and a safety locker. All rooms offer you fine views of the surroundings as well as a cozy atmosphere. Guests can enjoy a 24 hour room service facility which basically allows you to enjoy breakfast in bed.


The Nilaveli Beach Hotel is a haven for food lovers especially sea food. You can enjoy varieties of sea food specialties ranging from lobster, crabs, cuttlefish and prawns. The main restaurant also offers you the delight of enjoying a blend of delicious Eastern and Western cuisine. Opening out to the sea, the poolside garden restaurant offers you the choice of an a la carte menu, snacks, sea food specialties and alcoholic beverages. You can enjoy a boat ride to Pigeon Island which is known as a breeding site for the Blue Rock Pigeon and also a large amount of marine life.

For liquid refreshment, choose the spacious air conditioned Lounge Bar or the sunny beach bar with the fresh sea breeze to cool you. Beach Access

For nature lovers this is paradise indeed. Unique marine life and coral abound in the clear emerald waters, and the ocean is famous for dolphin and whale watching – the Blue Whale, Byrde’s Whale and the Sperm Whale being the most sighted among the 12 species found there. Diving, Snorkelling and fishing equipment and tours can be organised through our PADI centre, including local guides. Pigeon Island - the breeding site for the Blue Rock Pigeon, is but a few hundred meters off the Nilaveli beach and perfect for a day out to explore, sunbathe and enjoy a secluded picnic.
